Workshop 1: "Liquid Adhesive Photo Transfers"
Presented by Chris Hein
A one-session workshop
focusing on this specific alternative photo processing
technique. Participants will be transferring photos onto
glass.
Participants need to
buy/bring these supplies:
- E6000 Industrial
/Adhesive (any viscosity is fine, Michael's carries a tube that can
cover can be shared by up to three people.)
- Rubber dish gloves -
or any liquid proof gloves so adhesive doesn't get on the skin
- A spray paint of some
kind (Instructor recommends the mirror spray at Michaels, used to make
mirrors from glass. The color will act as a backing so white is a more
traditional choice.)
- A hand fan - or
cardboard card for fanning (we can make these)
- A picture in digital
format - they should be sent to this email (chris@layer14.com) ASAP so
the instructor can print them out prior to the workshop, the
transparencies take awhile to ship and can be tedious to work with, so
they will be printed off prior to the workshop.
- A small square of
glass – MUST be anything smaller than 5x5 (can use glass from a small
picture frame)
